What we collect, why, and your choices.

Factwiser (“we”) publishes free news briefings at factwiser.com. We collect as little personal information as possible.

What we collect

• Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, your email address is stored by our newsletter provider, Beehiiv, which sends the emails and tells us how many people open them. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
• Site statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
• Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message to reply and, for corrections, to improve our work.

Advertising

When we show ads, they are provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google’s Ads Settings. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before these cookies are set.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal information.
• We don’t use your information to train or run our AI system.

Your rights

Under Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA), and laws such as the GDPR if you live in Europe, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email editor@factwiser.com.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
