How we use AI
Researched and drafted with AI, checked and edited by a human.
We believe you should know exactly how your news is made. Here is how Factwiser works.
What the AI does
- Gathers the day’s facts from official public sources: central banks, statistics agencies and government announcements.
- Does the maths with tools, not from memory, so figures like mortgage payments are calculated, not guessed.
- Drafts each briefing in our five-part format.
- Checks its own draft: a second pass compares every claim and number against the sources and rejects anything it can’t support.
The AI runs privately on our own computer. It is not a chatbot service, and no reader data is fed into it.
What a human does
- Reviews every briefing before it is published, with extra care for the opinion section and anything that names a person.
- Writes the Editor’s note at the top of each briefing.
- Handles corrections and reader questions.
What we never do
- Publish an opinion about a person’s character or motives.
- Present scenarios as certain predictions.
- Give personal financial, legal or tax advice.
- Hide or remove this disclosure.
When we get it wrong
AI and humans both make mistakes. If you spot one, email editor@factwiser.com. We fix it, note the change on the briefing, and list it on our corrections page.
